JOB DESCRIPTION 80% FTE POSITION

The HIKI Project Director (PD), with support of Administrative Assistant (AA), assures that all aspects of the HIKI program are executed at the highest level as stated in the grant proposal. Responsibilities include:

- Ensure goals and objectives are completed on time, work plans are followed, project scope, quality, resourcing and scheduling is managed - Hire, train, oversee and evaluate all program staff and contracted service providers

- Collaborate closely with Kū-A-Kanaka staff in designing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating HIKI Inservice PD courses, recruiting participants, managing online discussion boards for all six courses, and facilitate ZOOM meetings - Work closely with the Office of Instructional Support (OCIS) to design and prepare for approval six PDE3 credit courses - Assist teachers with Learning Results E-Portfolio and completing OCIS PDE3 credit process - Design and implement Teacher Recruitment and Support process - Assist with content on Teacher Recruitment website, videos, and social media posts

- Coordinate Miloliʻi Kūkulu Kumuhana Summer Immersion camps - Oversee evaluation processes - Ensure the development of appropriate and required grant reports and the timely submission of all reports to funder and Ho`oulu Lāhui Board of Directors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Masters in Education and/or more than 5 years of experience in HCBE. - Experience in managing grants including project scope, quality, cost and schedule to achieve desired outcomes and milestones. - Excellent oral, written and digital communication skills grounded in Hawaiian values and ability to facilitate small and large group work sessions and discussions in- person and online. - Skilled in collaborating with diverse constituent groups, especially the NH community. - Ability to effectively synthesize and present data for decision making and reporting.

- Familiarity with basic office technology - Ability to work independently and flexibly and manage time and work to meet deliverables and outcomes, which may require long hours as necessary

- Self-motivated with ability to take appropriate initiatives, be adaptive and shift with job demands and conditions.

Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in English and Hawaiian
